The EEA and Eionet welcomed Moldova as a cooperating country, strengthening environmental information sharing across Europe.
The European Environment Agency and Eionet have welcomed Moldova as a cooperating country. It is a quiet institutional step, but it matters because environmental protection depends on good information shared across borders.
Air, water, biodiversity and climate risks do not stop at customs posts. When more countries use compatible data systems and cooperate on environmental knowledge, Europe gets a clearer picture of what is changing and where action is needed.
For Moldova, cooperation can support stronger reporting, policy development and access to environmental expertise. For the wider network, it adds another country’s data and experience to the shared European picture.
This is good news from the infrastructure of knowledge. Better environmental decisions begin with better information, and wider cooperation makes that information more useful.
