A new 14-mile nature corridor is being developed across four East London boroughs: Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Haringey and Newham.
The project will connect green spaces, canals, rooftops, parks and community gardens so wildlife and pollinators can move more easily through the city.
This is the kind of idea cities need more of. It does not ask people to leave urban life behind. It brings more life into the urban spaces people already use every day.
